Shape your Eyebrows like a Professional

Collab Xp Bonaire IslandLife & Viv's Beauty

The shape and color of your eyebrows are very important for your look. But how do you determine what form is best for you? And do you use an eyebrow pencil, powder or gel?

First of all: stop plucking your eyebrows! "The bigger the better" is now a big trend in the beauty industry. Before doing your eyebrows, make sure to go to a Beauty Salon and get your eyebrows shaped and tinted professionally. This will give you more time in the morning and you don’t wake up with a “baby-face”.

Eyebrow Shaping in a few steps:

Always begin by brushing your eyebrows upwards. Now place a brush along the side of your nose to find where your brows should ideally start. Angle the brush from the outside of your nose to the outer corner of your eye to find where your brows should ideally end.

Using short dash-like strokes to mimic your natural hairs, softly fill in any sparse areas/holes with a pencil. Choose the color that best matches your brows and fill in very lightly so it's barely there. A few favorites: Max Factor Eyebrow Pencil, Pupa Eyebrow Pencil or the L’ Oréal Brow Stylist Sculpting 3-in-1 Brow Tool.

Use an angled brush and a similarly colored pressed powder to define the shape of your brows even more. "The goal is to really have the most even brows, but try not to overly fill in the inside corners of the brows or make the end points too harsh. You can use the Pupa Eyebrow Design Set Fixative Wax & Compact Powder or maybe you prefer a pomade. In that case, use the Milani Stay Put Brow Color.

Brush through brows again with a brush (this is normally on the other side of your eyebrow pencil) to blend out the color and soften any harsh lines. To set the look and hold the hairs in place, comb through your eyebrows with a special colored eyebrow gel. A must is the Miss Sporty Studio Lash Happy Brow Styling Gel.

Perfectly defined brows help to frame your entire face and to bring out your eyes. All our eyebrow products are available at the DA Druggist on Bonaire, so you can make the perfect look yourself!

Product 1: Eyebrow Pencil

A basic tool that preps the brows for shaping. It is also a great tool to fill in gaps in areas where hair is sparse. Apply with short, feathery strokes for the most natural result. A waterproof, smudge-free, and long lasting brow liner would be your best choice.

Product 2: Eyebrow Pomade or Powder

To achieve beautiful, full brow effects, an eyebrow wax is your best choice. It can also be used to fill in gaps and define your eyebrows. For maximum benefits, choose an eyebrow pomade that works as an eyeliner at the same time. Use with a defining brush for artful precision!

Product 3: Eyebrow Colored Gel

For people having unruly hair, a brow gel would be a lifesaver! Brow gels can tame the hair and act like a comb that separates strands and keeps them flat. Choose brow gels that allow effortless application for best results.
