During the week of September 8th - 16th, 2019, Mrs. Derchlien Vrolijk, Marketing Manager and Mr. Delno Tromp, Interim Director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire visited Toronto, Canada. The purpose of this trip was to meet with Susan Oland, Director of Partnerships of Sunwing to discuss a firm continuation combined with training's, presentations and sales blitz.
It was a few intensive days filled with new experiences and getting to know the Sunwing Headquarters. Mrs. Vrolijk and Mr. Tromp had an extensive walk through the headquarters of Sunwing where they met with executives and team members. Proceeded with the trainings/presentation with different representatives and customer agents of Sunwing. They also did sales blitz with a number of different travel
agents that represent different markets.
"Overall the trip to Canada was a successful one, as we received a lot of positive feedback and suggestions from the executives and agents. We also had the opportunity to introduce our destination to some agents who didn't know a lot about Bonaire, and to show them that Bonaire has a lot to offer for all ages. We showed them that Bonaire is more than just a diving destination," commented Mrs. Derchlien Vrolijk.
Currently the Sunwing partners are: Buddy Dive, Captain Don’s Habitat, Delfins Resort, Divi Flamingo Beach Resort, Eden Beach Resort Bonaire, Plaza Beach Resort and the latest property added is Courtyard by Marriott Dive Bonaire.
Direct flights from Toronto to Bonaire with Sunwing will resume again on December 18th, 2019 and will run until April 19th, 2020.
