It is a branch of Haafkes Goor Netherlands, a contractor and maintenance company with many years experience. At the end of 2017, Haafkes Bouw Bonaire expanded by adding maintenance services to their portfolio.
Niels has been working at Haafkes Bouw since March, 2017, as an apprentice trainer and manager of the new Haafkes Maintenance Services.
Haafkes Maintenace Services offers its services 24/7. Depending on your needs, they can offer both emergency and planned maintenance services. Most likely it will be Niels on the phone when you call in need of assistance. He will assess the problem and work on solving it ASAP.

Haafkes has been working in the Caribbean for over 20 years. Contributing to the development on Bonaire is exiting to the company. Haafkes works with local sub-contractors who do excellent work. In conjunction with their offices in the Netherlands, they also guide and teach these local sub-contractors business practices that are new to them.
As an apprentice trainer at Haafkes, Niels works with three local trainees and enjoys finding out his trainees’ passion and then guiding them to a successful decision about their future.
Being part of the community is important to the company and its people. The recent sargassum algae invasion that washed up on our shores could have caused a massive die-off of marine life as well as making watersports and beach days impossible. Believing in united strength, for three days Haafkes used their machines and manpower to work together with the community to remove sargassum from the shore.
