Bonaire’s reputation as truly a diver’s paradise continues to dominate the dive scene as the island secured 11 different awards in the Scuba Diving Magazine’s Readers Choice Awards, including six #1 rankings.
For the 25th consecutive year, Bonaire has maintained its reign as the #1 Shore Diving Destination in the Caribbean/Atlantic region. Bonaire received first place in five other Caribbean Atlantic categories: Best Macro Diving, Best Beginner Diving, Best Snorkeling, Best Freediving and Best Healthy Marine Environment.
The second place rankings include Best Visibility, Best Advanced Diving, Best for Underwater Photography; third place rankings include Best Overall Diving and Best Technical Diving.

The Readers Choice Awards is made up of thousands of Scuba Diving subscribers and web users that rated their dive experiences on a scale of one to five. Results of the 2018 Awards will be featured in the January/February issue of Scuba Diving Magazine.
