Mr. Maurice Adriaens, Director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) officially welcomed the Costa Cruise Lines ship Costa Magica to the Port of Kralendijk during the traditional plaque exchange ceremony that took place on Tuesday, March 7, commemorating the ship’s inaugural call in Bonaire.
The 102,587-ton, 2,720-passenger cruise ship Costa Magica features “Cruising Italian Style” with a new meaning. The interior theme is Italian holiday spots with posters like impressionist paintings. The Alps line the walls and center the Magica theme in the atrium. All public spaces are called after the famous holiday places, so guests must be sure that the vessel is really Italian in substance and style.
“We are delighted to welcome the Costa Magica to our island. As our slogan says “Once a visitor always a friend”, therefore we are friends now. We are looking forward to many more calls from Costa Magica, this means we would have to brush up on our French and Italian,” commented Mr. Maurice Adriaens during the plaque exchange.
