La Cantina Cerveceria

Most people on the island might have heard about the changes at La Cantina restaurant, a beautiful restaurant and bar located in the center of Kralendijk. Rick and Kim, the previous owners who built an excellent reputation during their 10 years on the island, decided it was time to leave Bonaire and start a new chapter in their lives. Corendon arrives on Bonaire for the first time

Bonaire welcomed Corendon who for the first time arrived on the island. Corendon is a well-known tour operator in Europe which recently started selling 60 weekly seats on the flight of KLM destination Bonaire. As per November this year Corendon will increase its sets to 100 per week. Corendon arrived on the island with its first client’s visiting Bonaire and a VIP group which consisted of CEO Mr. Atilay Uslu and 7 top journalists. Kingdom Council of Ministers meets about hurricane Irma

On Tuesday, 12th of september 2017, the Kingdom Council of Ministers met to talk about the current situation on the islands of St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius, which have been hard hit by hurricane Irma. Support in preparation for Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom

Hurricane Irma will pass through the Caribbean islands of St. Eustatius, Saba and St. Maarten from Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon. In connection with Kingdom relations the concerned Ministries are making preparations to support to the islands, limit damage and confront the possible consequences head on. Almost 100 Dutch soldiers have departed Curaçao and Aruba en route to St. Maarten, St. Eustatius and Saba. In addition, two Navy ships will depart from Curaçao and Aruba in order to deliver extra soldiers and supplies after the passing of Irma. During the Day of the Press on Bonaire Kingdom Representative Gilbert Isabella launched iLanders. iLanders is an initiative of the Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland to motivate young people and professionals with a Caribbean background to live and work on Bonaire, St. Eustatius or Saba. The Kingdom Representative would like to commit himself to fight against the so-called ' brain drain ' on the Islands.
